Each range is designed around a different processing requirement, from small quantities of electric motors, transformers and radiators through to industrial-scale treatment of WEEE-derived fractions and mixed metal scrap.

Compakt Series

Straightforward Metal Recovery for Smaller Volumes

The Panizzolo Compakt Series provides an accessible starting point for businesses processing smaller quantities of metal-rich scrap.

The Compakt 240 combines a robust steel construction with straightforward operation and a small installation footprint. Its plug-and-play design makes it suitable as a first hammer mill or as a dedicated processing machine within a larger recycling facility.

An interchangeable grid system allows the mill to perform grinding and refining functions, helping liberate metals from plastic and composite components and preparing recovered material for subsequent separation.

With a 7.5 kW motor and processing capacity up to 150 kg/h, the Compakt 240 is available in three configurations to suit different material handling requirements.

The simplest configuration, combining manual loading with a removable collection drawer for straightforward batch processing.

Compakt 240 Drum

Adds a vibrating discharge table and iron separator, providing an initial separation stage after hammer milling.

Compakt 240 Autobelt

Adds conveyor feeding together with a vibrating table and iron separator for a more integrated material handling process.

PreRefine Series

Preparing Metal-Rich Fractions for Further Recovery

The Panizzolo PreRefine Series is designed for grinding and preparing smaller and medium-sized metal fractions for subsequent separation and refining.

It provides a step up in processing capacity from Compakt while remaining focused on a defined processing task.

The PreRefine 450 can process mixed and heterogeneous metal-rich materials, including fractions containing abrasive or inert components, reducing the material and helping liberate valuable metals before subsequent recovery stages.

Industry Series

Purpose-Built for Specialised Industrial Processing

The Panizzolo Industry Series is designed for higher-volume operations with clearly defined materials and processing requirements.

Rather than providing the broad material flexibility of the FLEX Series, the Industry range concentrates its processing capability around specific applications. This makes it suitable for businesses requiring industrial hammer milling for a consistent or dedicated material stream.

The Industry 1300 provides processing capacity up to 12 t/h and can be configured around different treatment requirements.

Mixed and light ferrous scrap
Mixed metal fractions
Electric motors
WEEE-derived materials
Material requiring preparation for subsequent granulation

The Industry Series provides an intermediate option for operators requiring significantly greater capacity than Compakt or PreRefine without necessarily requiring the broader processing flexibility of a FLEX hammer mill.

Applications

Electric Motors

Hammer milling can break down electric motors and liberate valuable copper, ferrous metals and other components for subsequent separation.

The appropriate Panizzolo range depends on motor dimensions, composition and processing volume.

WEEE

Electrical and electronic waste can contain valuable metals combined with plastics, ferrous materials and other components.

Hammer milling can provide a controlled reduction and liberation stage before magnetic, density or other downstream separation processes.

Transformers

Smaller electrical transformers contain combinations of copper, ferrous materials and other components that can be processed to improve subsequent material recovery.

Aluminium and Mixed Metals

Aluminium casings and mixed metal fractions can be reduced and liberated to prepare material for further separation and upgrading.

Aluminium/Copper Radiators

The Compakt Series provides a processing option for smaller volumes of aluminium/copper radiators, helping separate the constituent metals for subsequent recovery.

Need Greater Processing Flexibility?

For operations handling a wider variety of scrap streams or requiring greater configuration flexibility, the Panizzolo FLEX Series provides the next step in stationary hammer milling.

FLEX hammer mills are designed to process different metal-rich waste streams by adapting the mill configuration, cradle and grids according to the material and processing cycle.

With models providing capacities up to approximately 15 t/h, FLEX is suited to larger and more diverse scrap processing operations.
